WHAT ARE MICROGREENS???

Microgreens are considered baby plants, falling somewhere between a sprout and baby greens.

They are young vegetable greens that are approximately 1–3 inches (2.5–7.5 cm) tall. They have a highly concentrated nutritional value that comes in a variety of colors, flavours, aromas and textures.

Microgreens are becoming more and more popular, not only with high-end restaurants and foodies but with anyone wanting to add an explosion of nutrition and taste to their meals.

In the 1980's, microgreens were used mainly for a garnish to dress up a plate (usually a plate with little food on it) and to add a bit of freshness to the dish.

But now, thanks to us, packages of microgreens are finding their way in our community not only into farmer markets but also in local grocery stores. Their aesthetically pleasing aspects is a great addition to any dish, but because of their nutritional value and flavor makes them an eashy way to add your overall healthy lifestyle!
